1. NEW DELHI HOSTED 'INDIAN
OCEAN RIM ASSOCIATION' MEET



*Indian Ocean Rim Association meet wass organised in New Delhi in collaboration of Ministry of Home Affairs with the Ministry of External Affairs and National Disaster Management Authority.

*It will focus and strengthen cooperation indisaster response intervention and mobilization of relief material to affected countries.





2, 2ND ASEAN -INDIA YOUTH
SUMMIT CONCLUDED IN GUWAHATI
ON 7TH FEBRUARY

*2nd ASEAN - India Youth Summit concludedin Guwahati. It was conducted to strengthen the
mutual cooperation among ASEAN countries

*The theme of the summit was 'Connectivity:Pathway to Shared Prosperity


*The summit is a step to facilitate
-cultural exchanges between the countries to further strengthen the values of tolerance,pluralism and diversity. Guwahati has been becoming to be the gateway to South-East Asian countries.



3. THE LIMIT ON COLLATERAL-FREE
AGRICULTURE LOANS IS INCREASED
TO RS. 1.6 LAKH BY RBI


*RBI has announced to increase the limit on collateral-free agriculture loans to Rs.1.6 lakh from Rs.1 lakh. It will help to boost liquidity particularly among small and marginal farmers in the farming sectors.

*RBl's move will enhance coverage of small and marginal farmers in the legal loan system.RBI has also decided to set up an internalworking group to address issues on disparity,average issues and to review agriculture credit.





4, TAJ MAHAL, AGRA FORT AND
QUTUB MINAR ARE NOW UNDER
TOP 10 REVENUE GENERATING
MONUMENTS


*Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Qutub Minar
are among the top 10 Revenue Generating Monuments for 2015-2018.

*The other monuments in the list are Ellora caves, Sun Temple in Konark, Mamallapuram monuments, Khajuraho monuments, Ajanta caves in Aurangabad, Red Fort.




5. INDIA INKED MOU WITH
BANGLADESH TO TRAIN ITS 1800
CIVIL SERVANTS


*India and Bangladesh have signed an MOU for training 1800 Bangladesh Civil Servants under Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances.

*Under the first MOU signed in 2015, 1500
Bangladesh Civil Servants have already been trained in NCGG.




6. RBI PENALIZED RS1 CRORE ON
STATE BANK OF INDIA


*Reserve Bank of India has slapped Rs 1 cr penalty on SBI for not monitoring the end use of funds in respect of one of its borrowers.

*RBI levied fine on State Bank of India,by
exercising its powers under Section 47 A of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949




7. WEIGHTLIFTER SAIKHOMM
MIRABAI CLINCHED GOLD AT EGAT
CUP IN THAILAND


The 24 year old World champion Manipuri weightlifter Saikhom Mirabai Chanu notched up gold at EGAT Cup in Chiang Mai city, Thailand.

*Mirabai Chanu has won 48 kg category Gold with effort of 192 kg in the silver level Olympic qualifying event for 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
